Read our first time buyer research
We know just how much your first time buyers have to think about when buying their first home. And the latest research by Nationwide indicates getting on the property ladder is as challenging as it has ever been.
Here's how we are helpingWith affordability remaining a key issue for first time buyers, here is a reminder of just some of the ways that we could help them take that exciting first step:
- We offer mortgages up to 95% LTV
- Our Helping Hand option, means your clients may be able to borrow up to 20% more
- Further access to low deposit mortgages through our support of affordable housing and government backed schemes.
Income criteria updates
We've recently updated our income criteria for Zero Hours Contractors and Temporary Workers.
We now treat Temporary Workers and Zero Hours Contractors the same, and you should key both as 'Employed Temporary'.
Meeting your clients' support needs
We want to ensure that your clients who could be vulnerable get the support they need to access our products and services.
If you would like to tell us about your client's support needs (and they are happy for you to do so), you can complete this form on their behalf.
Alternatively, using Experian Support Hub, your customers can tell us what support they need. Their specific requirements can be shared across multiple organisations.
This will help them to:
- Get extra support
- Save time
- Avoid having to repeat their support needs multiple times
- Understand the support offered by each company
Mortgage Manager
When meeting with your clients, you may need them to provide details about their existing Nationwide mortgage. But did you know they can quickly access this information through Mortgage Manager?
They can check details such as their current house value, redemption figure, early repayment charge (ERC), monthly mortgage payments, account balance and more. Mortgage Manager can be accessed via our internet bank or banking app.
